Why CMI Exists
So that all nations will be impacted through Christ-centered coaching
Coaching Mission International is committed to the vision that every mission worker, leader, and organization experience the transformative power of coaching. We believe that one of the most powerful ways to increase mission effectiveness is to invest in leaders who are already on the front lines, reaching the nations with God’s love and transforming power. CMI provides these leaders, whether nationals or ex-pats, on field or home team, with the proactive support, encouragement, and feedback they need to complete their calling; factors which too often mission organizations are unable to adequately provide. In addition, we provide multiple training opportunities to equip individuals to serve as missions coaches, to empower missions leaders to use coaching skills themselves, as well as to help sending organizations raise up coaches internally.
CMI’s vision is that every frontline missionary, missions leader, and mission organization will be empowered by the transformational impact of cross cultural, Christ-centered missions coaching.
We multiply coaching for missions. We serve global missions by coaching mission leaders to greater effectiveness, mature character, multiplication of service and the fulfillment of their callings through cross cultural partnerships.

“I needed more skills in how to work with people and in how to manage my own life so that I can continue to minister… Not using these tools in the past helped to bring me to a place of burnout. This CMI coaching period has been life changing when I really needed it!” – Asia Leader
In fact, in EVERY area surveyed, the group of leaders receiving coaching improved! These dramatic results demonstrate coaching’s effectiveness and impact on mission workers on the field!
Coaching Mission International was founded to come along side individual missionaries and mission agencies with professional coaching expertise. Ultimately, one of our core objectives is to build a strong base for sustainable internal coaching for partnering organizations so that the benefits of effective, transformational coaching support will be available to every frontline missionary.
We know we can’t reach everyone who needs coaching or training ourselves. But, we can see the day when we might work ourselves out of a job! Until then it is critical that if we are going to achieve our mission we must multiply coaching, coach training and missions coaches and trainers in partnership with the broader missions community.
